Workshop Details June 22, 2002, Saturday, 10:30am - 11:30am, Chi Kung (Qigong) class, " Primal Chi Regimen I," at the Fifth Annual Chi Celebration, on the campus of The University of San Diego, California. This class will re-emphasize the importance and application of abdominal deep breathing. The first 3 of the 6 Chi Kung exercises will be taught in sequence in coordination with abdominal deep breathing. In Chi Kung practice, chi represents the basic vital energy of mankind and the universe. It is vital to our well-being and for sustaining all human activities. Without chi, a person dies. This regiment will booster and nurture "primal chi" which
is the built in vitality that each person is borne with. Imagine primal chi,
like an inner battery, unless we learn to re-charge its power through proper breathing,
exercises, nutrition, and other healthy activities and self-care, this chi will
dwindle rapidly, and our physical, mental and emotional health will
suffer. Excerpt from facilitators' flyer:
